The Izaak Walton Worcester offers the opportunity for you to have many happy hours by the waterside at the venues that the Society has to offer. However, it is important that you understand the underlying basis by which we usually operate.
The modern world we live in dictates that we have to have insurance and the insurance company request information on the age and gender of the members of the Society. Such information is also helpful in analysing the profile of the club when planning for the future. So please bear with us when we ask that you disclose your date of birth when joining.
Members who wish to take a friend or friends fishing with them for the occasional day may purchase a guest permit from the Secretary for £5.00 per day. The Member must accompany the guest at all times and the permit is restricted to the date and venue specified.
Annual subscriptions run from 1st January to 31st December inclusive. Be aware that this is for the year starting on the 1st January and not for twelve months from when you join. If you join part way through the year you are usually still required to pay for the whole year's subscription.
Juniors become Seniors once 18 years of age on the 1st of January in any given year. Junior Members and Vulnerable Adults must always be accompanied by a Responsible Adult Person, Parent or Guardian whenever fishing in Society waters.
Members who (a) are not less than sixty five years of age and (b) have been members for at least ten consecutive years, may pay a "concessionary" subscription of three quarters of the current full subscription for the year.
It is a Society rule that you may not fish until you have obtained membership.
