The winning weight was a single Chub. The other participants caught any number of smaller fish but many were not eligible for the weigh-in under the prevailing six-inch rule.
Steve Johnson and John Stevens each caught seven appropriately sized Dace which respectively qualified towards the relevent trophy.

The larger weights were from coarse fishing. The wet fly was more responsive than the dry. Compensation water and an element of colour seriously discouraged the Grayling. Weather warm, overcast with sunny periods, breeze.

Carp excluded from this competition although large specimens can be considered for the President's Shield which is awarded for the largest fish caught in competitions in home waters during the year. Heaviest contender so far this year is John Steven's Carp 4-14-00 caught on the 11th April.
